Life Back To “Normal” LOL
I left Saturday to go back to Michigan to take my Mom back home, and turned right around and came back. It was a long trip. We had a good time while she was here, though my Mom got hooked on Youtube, watching Korean Drama. So when she was doing that, every ten minutes I would have to find the next part of what she was watching. She doesn’t know English well, and is completely computer illiterate. Finally I showed her how to use the pointer and the mouse, so she was able to click on the parts she wanted to watch herself. It was quite funny showing her how to use a simple computer mouse.
We went to a Korean store here where she was able to stock up on Korean food. She does not have anything close by in Michigan to get the kind of food she eats. Sometimes she gets friends to buy her rice from downstate, but there is a rice shortage right now, and that particular place was completely out. The store here had Korean rice, but said the prices are going up next week and there is a shortage of rice and hard to get from the wholesalers. I didn’t believe it at first until I heard it from the store owner myself.
We went shopping at Macy’s while she was here, which was fun. When I was young she used to take me shopping like that, and it was nice to be able to take her. Both my kids were able to spend time with her, and we also went house shopping while she was here. She will eventually move down to Ohio. It certainly will make it easier on me, and her too, hopefully.
I will be recording tomorrow, so be watching for The Covenant III to be out this week.
Also, I just received an email from the organizer of Hypnoticon. For those of you that were not able to make it to the Atlanta convention, they are definately having one in LA in October. Check out the site for details. They really do offer so much for the price, and it is a whole lot of fun.
